The Beerenberg Family Farm is the quintessential South Australian icon. From fruit grown of clean, rich soil, the iconic Beerenberg Family Farm produces rich chutney & sauces loved by so many.
The farm was established by the Paech family who left their home in German-speaking Prussia to live a happy and prosperous life in Australia. They landed on the most sought after land in the Adelaide Hills that offered nutrient rich soil with gentle north-facing slopes. Perfect for growing fruit and vegetables. Fast forward 200 years later, the Beerenberg Family Farm would become a well known tourist destination. The Beerenberg name adeptly translates to ‘Berry Hill’ - a nod to their German speaking heritage.
In 1970, Grant and Carol decided to concentrate on growing strawberries, following the knowledge passed down from generations before, to grow spectacular strawberries. One year later, the first batch of strawberry jam was created, which was the beginning of the Beerenberg brand loved today.
With no signs of slowing down, the Beerenberg range is here to stay. With everything being made on the farm, you can now truly taste the South Australian country life at home.
