T Bar was born from the most humble of origins. A simple cup of tea made by the family’s mother in the 70’s is where T Bar really began, sitting around the kitchen table in the family home. It is T Bar’s belief that precious memories with loved ones in places dear to your heart - such as your first cup of tea - can be reignited through certain aromas, colors and textures.
Today, T Bar remains a proudly Australian owned & operated business with exceptional tea still at the heart of what they do. With many different tea blends to choose from, all the tea leaves are sourced directly from growers to bring authentic flavors from around the world to your home.
HERBAL TEAS: PEPPERMINT, CHAMOMILE, NIGHT-T
A little bit sneaky, herbal teas don’t exactly contain any of the Camellis Sinensis plant that regular teas do. Rather, they’re a blend of other botanicals and fruits, which, added to hot water, deliver the same comfy experience. Some tea folk might get their knickers in a knot and demand you refer to the aromatic pick-me-ups as Tisanes. We thoroughly embrace herbal teas as a rich addition to the culture and some would even argue that some botanicals are a better match to that other rich delight: chocolate.

Black tea is fully oxidized. Where other varieties may be subtle and delicate this one’s bold and engaging. The leaves are picked at maturity, withered, oxidized and finally fired. They can then sometimes be chopped up into itty, bitty pieces for the household tea bags or left loose for grandma’s teapot. They say the British Empire was built on this stuff but we think it goes rather better with scones and butter than bayonets and Colonel Mustard.
Steeped in tradition and a culture that goes back to BC times, the un-oxidized leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant, picked at maturity and then steamed or pan-fried to arrest the leaf’s natural decomposition is a technology of sorts that simply cannot be beat. Green tea (or Cha) is at the real root of this whole thing T Bar’s into. Once you sip on this incredible imbibe you too become a part of the timeless tradition that is tea. It’s the original and, if you had a weekend off to ask half the world about it, you might conclude it’s the best.
Originally from India, Chai quickly became the much-lauded success of world-music festivals. Now it’s a popular drink for the busy business class looking to swap their coffee habit for a healthier hot beverage. However, we’ve taken Chai back to the subcontinent source with our spicy blend. Each sip, whether with hot water, milk or soy makes you feel like you’ve just put on a pair of fisherman pants and kicked off your shoes to dance to the music in your mouth. And, just quietly, our Chai is a fantastic cure-all for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday-itis.
